Notes for the Windows 2000 Restore Bootdisk


* This is only compatible for Windows 2000, using the Bantam Backpack CD-ROM drive with the Portege 3440CT/3480CT. The Recovery CD set is 3 CD-ROM's.

* To extract this file, go to "start --> programs --> MSDOS Command Prompt".  Change directory to where the file is saved, and type "filename a:" and ENTER.  Filename is the name of the file.

* You will get a choice of 3 options
	1. FAT32  (The full HDD)
	2. FAT16  (2 Gigabytes)
	3. Keep Existing Partitions

* You will be prompted for the first CD, then the second.  You will again be prompted for the second CD. 
  Instead, enter the Third CD.

* As this is a Parallel CD-ROM, Data transfer is slower than an internal or PCMCIA CD-ROM drive.  The recovery will take approx. 2 hours.
